The NIU KQi 300P and KQI 300X e-scooters will shortly be available to pre-order. The new all-terrain models have dual-tube hydraulic suspension and shock-absorbing 10.5-inch tires. Other features include up to 37.3 miles (~60 km) range, regenerative braking and app-based controls such as remote unlocking.

NIU has revealed two new e-scooter models in its KQi 300 series: the KQi 300P and the KQi 300X. The range already includes the KQi3 Pro electric scooter launched in 2022. The latest models feature dual-tube hydraulic suspension for a more comfortable ride on uneven terrains.

The KQi 300P has a 450W motor, activated via a twist throttle, with 900W peak power, a top speed of 20 mph (~32 kph), and the ability to tackle inclines up to 20%. The KQi 300X has a more powerful 500W motor for up to 1,000W power, climbing hills with a 25% gradient. The top speed here is also limited to 20 mph (~32 kph) as standard to comply with regulations, but a maximum speed of 23.6 mph (~38 kph) can be unlocked in the app when you are riding on private land. Another difference comes with the battery, with a 486Wh power pack allowing up to 30 miles (~48 km) of range for the 300P and a 608WH battery allowing you to ride for up to 37.3 miles (~60 km) on the 300X.

Other features include an LED dashboard, a 164.5 mm (~6.5-in) wide deck, 10.5-inch rubber pneumatic tires for extra shock absorption and a triple braking system with regenerative braking. Plus, LED lights at the front and rear, side reflectors, and turn signals help keep you safe. You can adjust settings like the scooter’s riding mode, charging limit and starting speed in the accompanying app. The app also provides tools like smart unlock, cruise control, OTA updates and a log of statistics from your journey. You can pre-order the NIU KQi 300P and KQi 300X e-scooters from January 31st for $849/€699 and $1,049/€799, respectively. Discounts will be available for the first 200 customers who order within the first two days, with 25% off in the EU and 30% off in the US.
