Fiido has announced that it wants to celebrate its 8th anniversary as an e-bike brand by going back to its roots with a successor to one of its first models, the D4S. However, its basic foldable form-factor (like that of this 20-inch wheel non-electric version found on Amazon) is ditched in favor of a much more up-to-date, solid-looking IP54-rated aluminum step-through frame in the C11.
Unlike the D4S, the new bike's chassis also integrates a removable 500Wh battery. Fiido claims it can provide a range of up to 56 miles (~90km), although that might drop to 34 miles (~55km) with its throttle on.
The C11 is rated to achieve speeds of up to 25 miles per hour (mph, or 40km/h), albeit when unlocked, thanks to its 500W motor with 5 PAS modes. Similarly, its Shimano gears are 6-speed and are paired to "hydraulic shock absorbers" rather than full suspension.
On the other hand, the C11 still boasts a "Fiido exclusive" full-color LCD display with USB charging, an apparently city street-proof, custom-designed saddle from Velo, a rear rack with integrated tail-light and app support. All of that comes for "an incredibly affordable" €899/$899 price in modern Emerald Blue or White colorways from now.
