Xiaomi reveals new powerful Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen)
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen) has appeared on the global version of the company’s website. The release comes almost 18 months after the original version launched, with several improvements. One such upgrade is for the motor, which is rated for 400W power and has a maximum of 1,000W; its predecessor had a 350W motor that peaked at 700W.
Despite the upgraded motor, the Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen) remains limited to 25 kph (~16 mph) to adhere to regulations in some countries and offers various speed modes. Another enhancement is seen for the battery pack and range, which have increased from a 446Wh power pack for 55 km (~34 miles) to a 468Wh battery providing up to 60 km (~37 miles) range on a single charge. You can view the remaining battery on an integrated display, which also shows your current speed and can be used to operate the turn signals. Further controls and journey information can be viewed in the Xiaomi Home app.
Other features of the e-scooter include direction indicators, an auto light mode, and wider 60mm (~2.4-in) x 10-inch tires. The model has a carbon steel frame and weighs 19 kg (~42 lbs). Xiaomi has yet to announce the release date and pricing of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen). As an indication, the original Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro is currently selling for €699.00, having previously retailed for €799.00.
