Xiaomi has revealed the Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) on its global website. The updated folding model has several changes compared to its predecessor, which launched in May 2023. The new version has the same top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph), with three speed modes and a walking mode to make it easier to transport on foot.
However, while the rated motor power of the second generation of the Electric Scooter 4 Lite is the same at 300W, the maximum power estimate has been reduced from 600W to 390W with the new model. The range has been improved by 25% from 20 km (~12 miles) to 25 km (~16 miles), thanks to a larger 9,600mAh battery, fully recharging in around eight hours. Other features include E-ABS and drum brakes, 10-inch pneumatic tires, a headlight, and an integrated speed showing the remaining battery level. This information is also viewable alongside other data in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
The Lite (2nd Gen) is slightly heavier than the older model, weighing 16.2 kg (~35.7 lbs) compared to 15.6 kg (~34.4 lbs), but the maximum supported load remains 100 kg (~220 lbs). The release date and pricing of the new Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) has yet to be announced. For context, you can now buy the original 4 Lite for the lower price of €399.99; the model initially retailed for €449.99.
