PVY Libon previewed as ultra-lightweight, long-range e-bike
Some e-bikes hide their batteries in their saddle-posts, whereas others integrate them into their frames; however, PVY asserts that its next model will do both, deriving a combined range of up to 260 kilometers (km, or ~162 miles) in the process.
The Libon conceals this feature within a conventional folding design, albeit an "ultra-light" version rated to weigh just 16 kilograms (kg). It is also projected to boast a torque sensor for potentially smoother starts and a carbon belt that might prevent maintenance for up to 30,000km.
PVY also asserts that the bike will come with "Dual Anti-Theft" security thanks to its support for control via an app and GPS. Then again, the Libon is quite a long way away from an RRP, as it is slated to debut via Indiegogo as a backer reward in the near future.
