Xiaomi unveils new Electric Scooter 4 Pro Max with front suspension
Xiaomi has unveiled the Electric Scooter 4 Pro Max on its global website. The foldable model was teased earlier this year when the Xiaomi Electric Scooter Fast Charger was shown; this accessory is compatible with the new 4 Pro Max and the 4 Pro Plus model.
There are many similarities between the Electric Scooter 4 Pro Max and the Pro Plus, revealed on the same site in January. For example, both models are powered by a 960W peak power motor with three speed settings and a maximum speed of 25 kph (~16 mph). However, the power rating for the Pro Max motors is 400W, and the Pro Plus 350W. The scooters have a built-in 10.2 Ah battery providing up to 60 km (~37 miles) range, fully recharging in nine hours. Other features include direction indicators, E-ABS and drum brakes, and 10-inch tires at the front and rear.
One upgrade of the 4 Pro Max compared to the 4 Pro Plus is dual-cylinder suspension at the front, making your ride on uneven terrain more comfortable. This makes the model slightly larger and heavier at 21.3 kg (~47.0 lbs), with the older version weighing 19.5 kg (~43.0 lbs). The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro Max has been spotted at MediaMarkt in Germany for €599.99. However, it is out of stock with no indication of a date when it will become available. Whether or when the model could launch in other countries also remains to be seen.
