Infinix GT 20 Pro depicted as next-gen gaming smartphone in new leaks
Infinix has become linked to a new Android smartphone, one with a potentially second-gen gamer esthetic and a different MediaTek Dimensity processor. The alleged new GT-series device might also launch with a new version of XOS based on Android and have a decent mid-range amount of RAM.
Infinix is rumored to have another gaming smartphone in the works; however, it is not likely to be the same flagship-grade device as teased at MWC 2024. Instead, it is said to be a successor to the GT 10 Pro, a device with a rear panel very like that of the Zero 30 5G (currently INR 22,999 (~$277) on Amazon.in), except finished in a much more Nubia Neo-like fashion.
It has allegedly been outed as the Infinix X6871, or GT 20 Pro, in new leaks, which is linked to a 4,9000mAh battery in some of them. A device with its model number has also surfaced on Geekbench with essentially the same specs as one thought to launch as the Vivo V30 Pro soon.
Accordingly, the GT 20 Pro is now believed to debut with Android 14, 12GB of RAM and the Dimensity 8200 SoC, rather than XOS 13, 8GB and the Dimensity 8050 as with the 10 Pro. Then again, that existing smartphone did have a 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display that might be in less of a need of an upgrade at its ~$300 price-point.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
