Ulefone touts its latest smartphone as a substantial upgrade over the Note 16 Pro thanks to its FHD+ 6.78-inch AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate to boot. The curved panel even brings Corning Gorilla Glass to its series, although it is of the older 5 generation rather than anything like Victus 2, not to speak of Armor.
Nevertheless, the new non-rugged Ulefone flagship is also touted as "ahead of the curve" thanks to its rear cameras with a 108MP main shooter - however, it is behind even the Honor 90 series with the design of its housing.
Furthermore, the Note 17 Pro even sticks with the Android 13-based OS of its predecessor - then again, it has MediaTek silicon rather than Unisoc. Then again, the aging Helio G99 does not even confer 5G on the smartphone. It does, at least, power an IR blaster, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS in the smartphone, and is kept on by an enlarged 5,050mAh battery that charges at an improved 33W.
Therefore, Ulefone has launched the 17 Pro at a price of $319.99 (plus shipping) with 12GB of RAM (expandable in its software to 24GB) and 256GB of apparently non-expandable UFS 2.2 storage, whereas the Redmi Note 12 Pro (with unlocked 5G but just 8GB of RAM) can be found for $314.50 on Amazon today.
Then again, the new Ulefone Note-series flagship can be brought down to $279.99 by using the code N17P2024 at checkout for a limited time.
