Honor Band 7 smartwatch unveiled as a cheaper model with SpO2 monitor and Bluetooth 5.2
The Honor Band 7 smartwatch has been announced in China. In its design and feature set, the watch is similar to the Huawei Band 7, released earlier in 2022. The new wearable has a 1.47-in (~37 mm) AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. The all-weather watch has 96 sports modes, including 11 professional and 86 custom settings, allowing you to track your exercise. Health features of the gadget include blood oxygen level (SpO2) and heart rate sensors, and you can use the device to measure your sleep quality.
You can view this health and exercise data in the accompanying Honor Sports App, which uses AI to provide insights into your well-being. Other features of the Honor Band 7 include making contactless payments, playing music and remote camera control with a connected smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2. More basic tools are also included on the gadget, such as message notifications, calendar reminders and weather forecasts.
The smartwatch has up to 14 days of battery life with typical use, which is reduced to ten days with heavier use. You can currently pre-order the Honor Band 7 smartwatch in China for 249 yuan (~US$36). The gadget is available in Cedar Pine (green), Phantom Night Black and Rose Power (pink). It is unclear whether or when the company could launch the watch in other markets globally.
