Rumor | Honor Magic5 comes for Samsung Galaxy S23 in new launch teaser

Honor might have preferred to make its MWC 2023 attendance announcement itself; however, the GSM Association has gone and spoiled its reveal by listing the former Huawei subsidiary as an exhibitor (at stand 3H10 of Hall 3, Fira Gran Via, Barcelona from February 25 to March 2, 2023) in advance.

The discovery of Honor's inclusion in the show has led to rumors that successors to the Magic4 series will follow their lead in launching during this event. Now, it is believed that they will call big players in their Android arena out in its ambitious trailer for the reveal in question.

The prolific leaker Teme (or @RODENT950 on Twitter) claims to have dug a new Honor-branded graphic (a possible treat for fans of the latest black hole research) overlaid by text reading, "Go beyond the Galaxy to witness the real Magic".

Accordingly, should this promotional material prove genuine, it seems Honor is confident enough in its allegedly high-powered Magic5-series specs to cal the Galaxy S23 line out as potential equals, if not inferiors. Then again, a real announcement to this effect from the Samsung rival remains to be seen.
