Honor has already released additions to its flagship Magic line that are foldable; now, it is projected to make one for its premium mid-range 80 series. Then again, the single leak pointing to this possibility contains a high concentration of supposition thus far.
For a start, this apparently foldable sibling for the Honor 80, 80 Pro and 80 SE is allegedly called the 80 Pocket, in a somewhat suspicious parallel with the P50 Pocket released by Honor's former parent corporation Huawei.
Then again, it is possible that Honor is still operating off plans made back when it was a Huawei sub-brand. Nevertheless, it remains that the P50 Pocket is a clamshell foldable, whereas its putative 80-series counterpart seems not to conform to that design in its single (and arguably blurry) render to date.
In fact, the image hints at a device much more like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold4, albeit with a possibly updated chassis that might be as thin if not thinner than the Magic Vs, barely accommodating a USB type-C port on the bottom of 1 half of the device.
Finally, while it seems to have a large camera hump for potentially high-res rear shooters, it seems not to have a figure-8 shape like the rest of the 80 series.
Nevertheless, it remains that this new report might be accurate and Honor has a third device to add to its foldable portfolio.
