Honor's latest tablet has debuted with an advanced 144Hz refresh rate for its "IMAX Enhanced" display. Nevertheless, the Pad V8 Pro manages a mid-range price thanks to its Dimensity 8100 processor. It has emerged alongside a new GT version of its 80-series smartphones, with a new rear panel to go with its higher-end specs.

Honor seems to back the idea of the 'performance tablet' trend with the latest addition to its Pad line-up. It upgrades to a 144Hz refresh rate for its 12.1-inch 10-bit 2.5K+ LCD panel, kept on with a large 10,050mAh battery.

The Pad V8 Pro has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of fixed storage as standard; then again, it has an upper-mid-range Dimensity 8100 platform from MediaTek and runs MagicOS 7.0 based on Android 12 out of the box.

Accordingly, it starts at 2,599 yuan (~US$373) in Clear Sky Blue, Star Gray or Burning Orange colorways (the latter of which is vegan leather as opposed to glass) with its matching Magic Pencil 3 and keyboard folio as optional extras.

Meanwhile, the Honor 80 series which may gotten a foldable variant in 2022 as rumored, but does now have its own GT edition. It combines the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC of its top-end Pro sibling with a smaller 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display.

A standard punch-hole, as opposed to the Dynamic Island-esque pill cut-out that marks other 80-series variants, has been chosen for this new addition.

The 80 GT also has a Sony IMX800 main rear camera as opposed to the new 160MP sensor of the 80 Pro, although it is found in an updated, domino-like hump along with 8+2MP back-up shooters.

The new smartphone variant is also still on MagicOS 7.0; however, as this is a special edition, it has 12 or 16GB of RAM to go with its 256GB of internal storage. Those SKUs go for 3,299 to 3,599 yuan (~US$474-517) from now on Honor's online store in China, with no mention of international availability as yet.
