Honor has gone ahead and themed its MWC 2023 teaser campaign after that old quote commonly attributed to Arthur C. Clarke: accordingly, the Magic5 line of Android smartphones is now touted to emerge indistinguishable from...well, sufficiently advanced technology during the major press conference on February 27, 2023 at 13:30 CET.
Then again, one should be able to tell the upcoming 2023 flagships apart from their OEM's other star of its upcoming Fira Gran Via-based show.
Honor has dropped the strongest hint yet that the Magic5 series will indeed launch with a new camera hump that arranges their rear shooters into a triangle within a circular housing in its latest MWC 2023 teaser. The Magic Vs, on the other hand, will finally make its global debut at the same time with its last-gen rectangular module.
Honor may also have developed the new shape as a tribute to the 2022 act of "Magic" that was the ability to image our galaxy's black hole. That would also explain the 5-series' new tagline, as opposed to being a crack at Samsung.
Nevertheless, the new smartphone's ability to compete with the Galaxy S23 series slated to beat them to launch remains to be seen.
