Honor's Magic5 series of smartphones are potentially prime candidates for Qualcomm's impending top-end SoC for the mobile flagships of 2023. Now, according to the eminent leaker Digital Chat Station, they will be joined by its next-gen foldable phablet in this regard.
The "Magic V2" is also now tipped to launch with 66W charging, which would be exceptionally fast for a foldable smartphone. Then again, conventional devices with this standard could be said to be lagging behind, especially as Honor has been using it for years now.
Nevertheless, the Honor 80 series is also projected to stick with it in 2023, even in its Pro variant. Then again, Honor is now yet again endorsed to distract consumers with an upgrade to top-end 200MP main cameras in this series.
The Magic5 'Pro', on the other hand, is not. However, it might compensate in its own +ay by becoming the first-gen AON flagship. This new branding is said to refer to Honor's inaugural "AI-ISP", a proprietary chipset that might serve as an answer to tech such as Xiaomi's Surge- or Vivo's V-series in-house accomplishments.
The putative Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered and IP68-rated flagship is also now thought to reprise the Magic4 Pro's 100W wired charging capabilities. Honor had experimented with 100W wireless charging in that 2022 device as well; however, the putative Magic5 Pro is now thought to revert to the Magic4 Ultimate special edition's 50W spec instead.
