Recent reports claim Huawei may be set to pull out of the European market. Despite that, it appears the company will continue its usual flagship-phone scheduling next year, with word on the grapevine now providing some information on Huawei's next-gen flagships, the P60 and Mate 60 series.
According to leaker @RODENT950, Huawei will equip both the Mate 60 and P60 series with Qualcomm silicon. The Huawei P60 series will, of course, debut early in the year as is typical with the lineup. The leaker claims the P60 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, just like the Mate 50 lineup that debuted back in September. Supposedly, mass production for the P60 series is set to begin shortly.
The Mate 60 series, on the other hand, looks set to be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The leaker highlights the chipset with the model number SM8525, likely referring to a 4G-only version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is typically coded as the SM8550 in 5G-capable form.
