Huawei P60-series case leak hints at upcoming launch for triple rear camera flagship smartphones
The Huawei P50 and P50 Pro did not come with what could be called an individual look for their rear cameras. However, should a new post by the eminent leaker Digital Chat Station prove accurate, the OEM has been working on something more unique for its successors.
The tipster has dug up shots of what is an alleged P60-series case in the wild. It seems to be made of transparent silicon or PU, which gives a very clear idea of the size and shape of each rear camera. All 3 are still mounted in one corner of the "P60's" rear panel, yet has morphed into a large, central ring flanked by 2 smaller, square lens cut-outs.
The general effect is that they have been styled to look as much like a traditional camera as possible (which may be the idea behind many other modern flagships). This leak may have given rise to other, full-color renders from another well-known leaker, RODENT950.
The tipster thus intimates that the P60 series will come in multiple colorways, with matching shiny rings for its large main rear shooter. RODENT950 has also finished it with a thinner gold accent to create what is referred to as a "KunLun edition".
Whether this will truly emerge as a P60 variant is yet to be seen, as the devices are tipped not to launch until the first quarter of 2023.
