Huawei Band 7: Fitness tracker arrives in Europe for €59.99 with 14 days of battery life, an AMOLED display and a SpO2 sensor
Huawei has presented the Band 7 in Europe, which it initially revealed last month in China. Unsurprisingly, Huawei has not made any hardware changes from the fitness tracker that it introduced in China. As such, the Band 7 still has a 1.47-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 368 x 194 pixels. Additionally, Huawei has complemented the large display with a 180 mAh battery that should yield up to 14 days runtime. For reference, the Band 7 should take 1:05 hours to recharge fully from 0%.
While the Band 7 looks like its predecessor, Huawei has shaved 1 mm from its case size and has reduced the overall weight to 16 g. In other words, the Band 7 is 2 g lighter than the Band 6. Unfortunately, it seems that Huawei has decided against offering the Band 7 with an NFC module in Europe; the fitness tracker supports contactless payments in China.
Also, the Band 7 lacks a GPS module, although Huawei includes standard health-tracking features, like SpO2 and heart rate monitoring sensors. Incidentally, the Band 7 is 5 ATM water-resistant. Moreover, Huawei pre-installs 96 exercise modes, covering cycling, running and swimming, among others.
The Huawei Band 7 will be orderable in the Eurozone from June 16, where it will be available in Graphite Black, Flame Red, Nebula Pink and Wilderness Green. Huawei will sell all colour options for €59.99; pricing in other markets remains unknown at this stage.
