Huawei has indicated that it will hold a press conference called the "Flagship Product Launch 2022". As the OEM has already debuted hardware that could meet this definition in China, it could now be assumend that their global editions are now on the way.
The company's new announcement has led to projections that one device to make an appearance during the show will be the Mate Xs 2 - which, as its predecessor the Mate X2 never did make it to an official global release, might be slightly odd. The new convertible smartphone could prove an extravagant purchase on the international market, even though it has the older type of foldable display which exposes it to the elements at all times.
Another new device that might be better prepared for exposure to potential damage is the Watch GT 3 Pro, touted as Huawei's most durable premium wearable to date, even if it is slightly restricted in terms of its SKU and material choices.
Huawei has not overtly confirmed that these 2 devices will indeed feature during its next launch; then again, some graphics visible in its new teaser for the show do hint strongly at the appearance of both. We will find out for sure on May 18, 2022 at 14:00 CET.
