DIZO Watch D Pro and Watch D Ultra smartwatches arrive with oversized displays
DIZO continues to expand its smartwatch lineup, now with the Watch D Pro and Watch D Ultra. Arriving two months after the Watch R Talk Go and the Watch D Plus, the Watch D Pro and Watch D Ultra are still cheap smartwatches, despite their names. The Watch D Pro and Watch D Ultra remain Indian exclusives for now, like the rest of the DIZO Watch series.
Surprisingly, the Watch D Ultra is the smaller of the two smartwatches. The smartwatch is larger than most modern smartwatches though, with a 1.78-inch AMOLED panel adorning its curved chassis. According to DIZO, the display operates at up to 500 nits with a 368 x 448-pixel native resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The Watch D Ultra offers up to 10 days of battery life, as well as DIZO's usual set of 100+ sports modes, 150+ watch faces and DIZO Sport app smart controls.

By contrast, DIZO estimates that the Watch D Pro will last up to 7 days between charges from the same 270 mAh battery as the Watch D Ultra. The Watch D Pro also relies on DIZO OS, a new smartwatch operating system. Additionally, DIZO equips the smartwatch with a 1.85-inch IPS display that delivers 600 nits of peak brightness, albeit without the high contrast ratio that the AMOLED display in the Watch D Ultra will provide. Still, the Watch D Pro contains the DIZO D1, an in-house chipset that may make the smartwatch more responsive than the Watch D Ultra.
The Watch D Pro retails for INR 2,699 (~US$33) in India and is available in black, blue and white colourways. In comparison, DIZO charges INR 3,299 (~US$40) for the Watch D Ultra, also in the same three colours. There is no word on a global launch date yet, but the pair are already orderable in India.
