The Redmi Watch 3 and the Redmi Band 2 have been launched in China. The Watch 3 is the larger of the two wearables, with a 1.75-in (~44 mm) AMOLED display and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The lightweight gadget weighs 37 g (~1.3 oz). The device has features like Bluetooth calling and a voice assistant. Plus, you can track your movement with support for GPS and over 121 exercise modes. The watch is expected to last 12 days in standby mode or seven days with heavy use.
The smaller Redmi Band 2 has a 1.47-in (~37 mm) display. The thin 9.99 mm (~0.39-in) body helps to keep the device light, weighing 14.9 g (~0.5 oz). This model has up to 14 days of battery life or six days with heavier usage. You can track your exercise using over 30 activities, view weather reports, or find your phone with the watch. Both smartwatches have NFC, allowing you to make payments and health tools such as blood oxygen level (SpO2) and heart rate sensors.
You can buy the Redmi Watch 3 in China for 499 yuan (~US$72), and the Redmi Band 2 is available for the discounted price of 159 yuan (~US$23); the cheaper wearable will typically retail for 169 yuan (~US$24). Both smartwatches are currently available in black and white colorways, with more colors expected later. It is unclear whether or when these devices will be available in other markets.
