Vivo iQOO Z9 mid-range smartphone starts with 1,800 nits AMOLED display and Sony LYT-600 camera
The latest mid-range smartphone from Vivo boasts some very interesting features, as the 7.8 millimeter thin, 188 gram light device has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a frame rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, which is quite impressive in this price range.
The iQOO Z9 has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200, a modern 4 nm mid-range ARM chip that offers two ARM Cortex-A715 performance cores with frequencies of up to 2.8 GHz and six Cortex-A510 efficiency cores. In addition, there is 8 GB of RAM in all versions, as well as 128 GB or 256 GB of internal flash memory. The 5,000 mAh battery can be charged via USB-C with up to 44 watts. A highlight of the equipment is the 50-megapixel main camera based on the new Sony IMX882 (LYT-600) sensor in 1/1.95 inch format.
The main camera can record 4K videos with up to 30 fps. Additionally, Vivo only installs a 2 MP camera on the back and a 16 MP f/2.0 selfie camera on the front. The Vivo iQOO Z9 has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display, a microSD card reader that can be used to expand the memory by up to 1 TB, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3. The smartphone comes with FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14.
Prices and availability
The Vivo iQOO Z9 launches in India with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB flash memory for INR 19,999 (approx. EUR 221) or with 256 GB memory for INR 21,999 (approx. EUR 243). Vivo has not yet confirmed any information on availability in Europe.
