Doogee R08: New rugged tablet with fingerprint sensor and dual SIM
Doogee is typically known as a provider of tablets and offers an extensive portfolio of products, many of which can be found at retailers such as Amazon. The Doogee R08 is a new rugged tablet that is said to meet the requirements of IP68, IP69 and MIL-STD-810H. This means that the tablet should be able to withstand falls and be submerged in water for short periods of time. The system can supposedly also endure temperatures of between -40 °C and 70 °C.
The 249.5 x 167.8 millimeter tablet is 13.5 millimeters thick and weighs 716 grams. An MT8788 with four Cortex A73 and Cortex A53 cores is installed, and an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics solution is built into the SoC. The LPDDR4X RAM measures 6 GB and can be virtually expanded by up to 10 GB. The internal storage is UFS with a capacity of 256 GB, which can be expanded as long as you do not use the dual SIM functionality.
The GNSS module supports GPS, Beidou, Glonass and Galileo. NFC is lacking, but a compass is on board. A fingerprint sensor can be found on the side, and the 5 MP front camera should also be capable of facial unlocking. The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP.
The 10.1-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800, while a battery with a capacity of 7680 mAh is installed and can be charged up to 10 watts. Two speakers are installed. The model is available directly from the manufacturer at a price of $329.
