Lenovo Legion Tab: New flagship Android tablet announced with global release planned
The Legion Y700 (2023) has finally received a global release, having been presented in China last summer. As expected, the tablet will be available outside China as the Legion Tab. For context, Lenovo listed the Legion Tab on its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) database earlier this month before possible pricing surfaced online.
Unsurprisingly, the Legion Tab contains a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and a 6,550 mAh battery within a 208.5 x 129.5 x 7.6 mm and 350 g housing. Additionally, the tablet features two USB Type-C ports and a MicroSD card reader that supports up to 1 TB storage expansion, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Moreover, the Legion Tab possesses an 8.8-inch IPS display that outputs at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 144 Hz, 500 nits and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space.
It is also worth noting that the Legion Tab arrives in all markets running Android 13. Worse still, the tablet will finish up with Android 15, which is considerably shorter software support than any of its peers. Lenovo has priced the tablet at €599 in the Eurozone, which includes 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Unfortunately, pricing for other regions remains unknown for now, although T3 specifically mentions that the tablet will be available in the UK, too.
