Xiaoxin Pad Plus Comfort Edition: New tablet promises particularly eye-friendly display and educational materials

The Xiaoxin Pad Plus Comfort Edition is a new tablet from Lenovo. The model gives a lot of value to the easy and comfortable readability of the display and, according to the manufacturer, offers a similar quality to real paper in this respect. Other manufacturers also advertise this, but it is not an E-Ink screen that can be used particularly well in sunlight, for example. The screen is relatively large with a diagonal of 12.7 inches and Lenovo specifies a resolution of 2,944 x 1,840 pixels. A special engraving is said to reduce the glare of the display by 80%.

The tablet is equipped with an unspecified SoC with eight computing cores. There is a working memory with a capacity of 8 GB, while the internal memory measures 128 GB. The setup consisting of four loudspeakers, which should also support Dolby Atmos, promises powerful playback of audio content. Two cameras with a resolution of 13 and 8 megapixels are available, and the tablet supports the face unlock feature.

The battery has a capacity of 10,200 mAh, which should result in a runtime of just over seven hours when playing videos. The tablet, which measures around 6.9 millimeters, weighs 615 grams. According to Lenovo, more than 45,000 lessons are available for primary, middle, and high school students. The Xiaoxin Pad Plus Comfort Edition is available in its home market of China for the equivalent of around 180 euros; information on a possible global launch is not yet available.
