iQOO Pad2 Pro tipped to launch as 3.1K 144Hz display Android tablet with +10,000mAh battery

The iQOO Pad is coming back for a second year in 2024, according to a new leak. The tablet is now slated to ditch the unique 7:5 aspect-ratio of its first-gen successor for one of 3:2, as it is thought to launch as a re-brand of another up-to-date premium tablet, the Pad3 Pro from its parent OEM Vivo.

Accordingly, it is tipped to have a 3096 x 2064 (or 3.1K) resolution for its 144Hz display - specs that might make up for the lack of OLED going on in this prospective panel. The same Pad2 Pro display may also come powered by the MediaTek MT8796 (or Dimensity 9300) SoC and have 8GB, 12GB or 16GB RAM options.

The esteemed leaker Digital Chat Station claims to have spotted the Pad2 Pro (or "vivo DPD2329", or "iQOO PA2473") with these specs on the Google Play Console (with Android 14, no less), and thus surmises that it will also share the Vivo Pad3 Pro's impressive 11,600mAh battery with 66W charging.

However, that might also be the root of the tipster's apparent pessimism that the new iQOO tablet will be no better priced than the old (which started at 2,599 yuan or ~$359).
