World's first Dimensity 9300+ smartphone debuts with 144Hz AMOLED display, dual 50MP rear cameras and 120W charging
iQOO's latest smartphone has been unleashed with flagship-killing potential in many respects. It has been revealed to have the same specs as its predecessor the Neo9 Pro - except that its 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display is driven by the Dimensity 9300+ in this iteration.
The OEM asserts that it has gotten a score of over 2.3 million on the AnTuTu benchmark in its testing prior to the 9S Pro's release. The smartphone also still has a 5,160mAh battery with the same 120W wired charging as the top-end 12 series - although there is no wireless charging at the Neo-series' tier.
It does, however, have a 16GB RAM/1TB internal storage SKU, priced at 3,699 yuan (~$511) whereas the 9S Pro's 12GB/256GB base model has started for 1,000 yuan (~$138) less.
The Neo9S Pro was teased as having new Xingyao White standard and official NBA limited editions; however, somewhat disappointingly, it seems the latter is the former but with more extensive retail packaging that includes an exclusive case and matching water bottle.
As for international availability, it is possible but not probable: the Neo9 Pro did indeed hit the Indian market, but had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (available in its Fiery Red vegan leather colorway on Amazon.in) instead of its more distinctive MediaTek Dimensity-series silicon.
