OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition price and availability revealed

OnePlus had devoted part of its latest flagship smartphone event to announce that it is finally letting more of its international fans in on the Genshin Impact fun in 2024. Now, those units of the 12R converted into the latest in a growing series of co-branded Limited Editions have been unleashed.

The smartphone is touted as a “first-gen deeply customized” variant of its kind - although the Ace Pro might have something to say about that. In any case, the 12R Genshin Impact is backed to boast "tailored optimization from both OnePlus and HoYoverse" as well as the "self-developed performance platform Trinity Engine" supported by OxygenOS 14 for the standard 12R.

Accordingly, the Genshin Impact Edition is backed to improve the app's experience with a "super fast and smooth gaming experience", not to mention a "unique fully customized" UI touted to go far beyond themed icons to generate a sense of having the support and companionship of the 12R's featured hero, Keqing.

Then again, with the latest OnePlus x BOE 1.5K “4th-gen LTPO OLED” display, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 16GB of RAM, even the standard 12R is depicted as ready to power an immersive session of its own, rated as it is to make all games 120fps whenever possible.

Then again, we were unable to verify whether this new version will be UFS 4.0 or not; however, as it too has 256GB of internal storage, that is frankly unlikely.

On the other hand, it comes with its own Custom Gift Box in the same exclusive Electro Violet colorway that, furthermore, includes OnePlus' first-ever charging cable with a right-angled USB-C connector (and that is also violet, which goes well with its also-included power brick).

The Gift Box is also rated to convert into a "Garage Kit" display box to form the basis of the user's Keqing merch collection, some of which also ships with the smartphone.

OnePlus has revealed that the 12R Genshin Impact Edition will go to pre-order from today (February 28, 2024) for INR 49,999 in India, €749 in Europe or $649/CA$869.99 in North America with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

That is more expensive than the standard 12R in those regions; however, it has also been released with special offers such as trade-in deals, €50 off and/or a free case, depending on the buyer's location.
