OnePlus has now officially announced that its next Android smartphone, the Ace 3V, will indeed also be the first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3-powered device on the market. The OEM claims to have worked closely with Qualcomm in order to optimize the new SoC for the mid-range handset.
The 7+ Gen 3's potential "mini-8 Gen 3" status has also now been publicly acknowledged for the first time, with OnePlus strongly hinting that the chipset's performance in apps such as Genshin Impact will rival that of the 8 Gen 2 at least, even after playing the game for 1 hour at an average FPS of 59.7.
The Ace 3V is also now thus backed to support "flagship AI", which should also apparently further enhance its ability to use up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. They are to be LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 respectively, a claim that, if fulfilled this time, might result in embarrassment for the higher-end 12R.
Nevertheless, the 3V is also now touted to land as a battery life champ, even reportedly beating the flagship 12 in OnePlus China President's Li Jie Louis' testing: a bit of hype that may or may not corroborate a rumor of the phone's becoming the OEM's second 5,500mAh monster.
OnePlus' "first AI phone for young people" is now slated to hit the Chinese market some time next week (starting March 18, 2024), and may do so in regions such as India and Europe as the Nord CE4 thereafter.
