Vivo X Fold3 official photos reveal design and camera capabilities of upcoming foldable phone

There has been a good number of leaks around the Vivo X Fold3. Just recently, we got one that allegedly revealed a press shot of the upcoming foldable phone. Well, it seems that leak was on point because it matches the official photos of the camera flagship published by Jia Jingdong, the general manager and vice president of the company.

Jia Jingdong also claimed that the X Fold3 will be the "thinnest and lightest" flagship foldable when launched. In addition, he has confirmed that the phone will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Previous rumors pointed to the smartphone featuring the same chipset as the predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Getting back to the photos shared by Jia Jingdong, they do hint at the foldable phone being thin. The vice president claims that the "single-sided thickness" is lower than the vivo X5 Max, which measured only 4.75 mm. As for the weight, Jia says the X Fold3 weighs less than a "big apple."

Besides showcasing the design of the Vivo X Fold3, Jia Jingdong has also shared some image samples captured by the foldable phone. As the vice president notes, the smartphone replicates the imaging capabilities of the Vivo X100 series. For context, the X100 Pro ranks 9th in the global ranking of DxOMark. Other than that, Jia Jingdong has hinted at the battery performance of the X Fold3. It is said to target "two-day long" run time. There's no official word on the release date yet, but the foldable phone is expected to debut in the Chinese market on March 27.
