The Google Play Console is now showing a new Motorola smartphone on its database, hinting at an imminent release in the process. While the focus has been on Motorola revealing the Edge 50 series handsets, the Google Play Console has detailed the Moto G64 5G instead. Based on the image below, the Moto G64 5G will be the spitting image of the Moto G54 5G (curr. $190 on Amazon) thanks to its flat display, centred hole-punch camera and comparatively large bottom bezel.
Additionally, the Google Play Console reports that the Moto G64 5G utilises 'MT6855', a codename MediaTek uses for the Dimensity 930 and Dimensity 7020. However, it would seem more likely that Motorola has chosen the Dimensity 7020 than the older Dimensity 930, particularly as the former is the same chipset that powers the Moto G54 5G. Moreover, the Google Play Console indicates that the Moto G64 5G will be available with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, just like its predecessor.
Furthermore, the Moto G64 5G appears to contain a 6.6-inch display, based on its quoted 1080p resolution and 400 PPI pixel density. As a result, the handset may be slightly larger than last year's model. Apparently, the Moto G64 5G will ship with Android 13 though, despite Motorola shipping the likes of Moto G04 and Moto G24 with Android 14 as standard. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, including a release date.
