AOC unveils 45-inch Agon Pro OLED monitor with 240 Hz, USB-C Power Delivery and RGB lighting
The AOC Agon Pro AG456UCZD was already announced in China last October and now the OLED monitor is finally being launched in Germany. The screen has a 44.5-inch OLED panel that is curved at a radius of 800R. The panel is designed in 21:9 format and is therefore said to offer more screen area than a 49-inch 32:9 display.
Thanks to the frame rate of 240 Hz, the response time of 0.03 milliseconds, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, the monitor should be perfect for gaming enthusiasts. The monitor can display 98.5 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and 100 percent of the sRGB color space. Due to the resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels, the pixel density of 83.8 PPI is quite modest and, as is typical for OLEDs, the brightness of 250 nits with an all-white image is only moderate. However, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits (3% APL) should be achieved when displaying HDR content.
The monitor has HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C ports, whereby the USB-C supports Power Delivery and can charge connected laptops with up to 90 watts. AOC also installs 2 x 8-watt stereo speakers and RGB lighting on the back that can be synchronized with the other AOC devices.
Prices and availability
The AOC Agon Pro AG456UCZD will be available in Germany from mid-March for a recommended retail price of EUR 1,309. The monitor is already available on Amazon for EUR 1,289. AOC grants a three-year warranty on the monitor, which also covers burn-in. Further information on the features can be found on the official product page.
