Gigabyte announces AORUS FO27Q3 pricing for new 1440p, 360 Hz and 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor
Dell was the first company to release a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 1440p resolution and a 360 Hz refresh rate. However, cheaper options have arrived hot on the company's heels. For example, MSI started selling the MPG 271QRX QD-OLED last month, full details of which we have covered separately.
While MSI delivered its monitor for less than Dell in the US, the Alienware AW2725DF is cheaper than the MPG 271QRX QD-OLED in the Eurozone and the UK. Now, Newegg has offered up US pricing for the AORUS FO27Q3 ahead of the monitor's release. Unfortunately, Newegg has not revealed when it will open pre-orders. Likewise, Gigabyte has not announced a release date yet, despite listing the monitor on its website late last month.
Nonetheless, Newegg has confirmed that the AORUS FO27Q3 will be available for $799.99, price matching the MPG 271QRX QD-OLED and undercutting the Alienware AW2725DF by $100 in the process. It is worth noting that the AORUS FO27Q3 has a more flexible stand than its peers with 130 mm height, -5°~+20° tilt, +/-20° swivel and -0°~+90° pivot adjustments. Additionally, Gigabyte includes dedicated 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jacks compared to the singular combined options found in the Alienware AW2725DF and MPG 271QRX QD-OLED. With that being said, the AORUS FO27Q3 has a weaker USB Type-C port (18 W Power Delivery) than its peers and USB 3.0 ports rather than the USB 3.2 equivalents in the Alienware AW2725DF.
