CES 2024 | Dell Alienware AW2725DF presented as new 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor for $899.99 before imminent launch

Dell has brought the Alienware AW2725DF to Las Vegas as part of its CES 2024 showcase. Having unveiled the UltraSharp U3425WE and U4025QW a few days ago, Dell has now turned to providing full specifications and availability for its latest Alienware monitors, which also applies to the Alienware AW3225QF. For context, Dell provided preliminary information about both Alienware gaming monitors in October at TwitchCon 2023.

According to Dell, the Alienware AW2725DF's QD-OLED panel outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 (1440p) and 360 Hz, but only when connected to a device via DisplayPort. By contrast, the monitor can only reach 1440p and 144 Hz over HDMI. At any rate, the QD-OLED panel delivers 1,000 nits peak brightness, is VESA HDR TrueBlack 400 certified and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to mitigate image tearing.

The Alienware AW2725DF will reach North America first, with Dell pricing the monitor at $899.99 in the US and CA$1,199.99 in Canada. While the monitor will be available in both countries on January 11, Dell has decided to hold back the Alienware AW2725DF until February 6 for the rest of the world.
