CES 2024 | Acer Predator X39 showcased with 1440p and 240 Hz OLED panel with €1,449 starting price
The Predator X39 may sound like a successor to the Predator X38 and Predator X38 S. However, Acer is billing it as a larger version of the Predator X34 X that it is also showcasing during CES 2024. As such, the Predator X39 relies upon OLED technology rather than the IPS equivalents that grace the Predator X38 and Predator X38 S.
According to Acer, the Predator X39 outputs at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with an 800R curvature. Thus, the company refers to the monitor's resolution as UWQHD on account of its 'ultra-wide' panel. Additionally, the 39-inch gaming monitor combines its 1440p resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate, as well as 0.01 ms response times supported by AMD FreeSync Premium to reduce image tearing.
Moreover, the Predator X39 delivers 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and 90 W charging via its built-in USB Type-C port. On top of that, Acer has integrated a KVM switch for seamlessly transitioning peripherals between two connected devices. The Acer Predator X39 will be available from Q2 2024 for €1,449 in the Eurozone, making it €200 more expensive than the smaller Predator X34 X.
