CES 2024 | Acer Predator SpatialLabs View 27 and View Pro 27 4K 160 Hz monitors bring glass-less 3D to gamers and professionals
Acer is bringing its SpatialLabs glass-less 3D tech to its Predator monitor lineup at CES 2024. The Predator SpatialLabs View 27 is a 160 Hz 27-inch UHD monitor that supports Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. The monitor can reach 400 nits brightness and is slated to be color accurate with a Delta E of less than 2.
Acer uses several proprietary software enhancements to present 3D content. One of these is SpatialLabs TrueGame that uses its own shaders and drivers to create custom 3D profiles. Then we have 3D Ultra mode that uses a second virtual camera to add more depth and allows gamers to work with a variety of 3D configurations.
The company also said that the monitor uses a patented pre-configured 3D profile feature that allows gamers to directly launch supported SpatialLabs TrueGame titles in 3D. Acer has put up an exhaustive list of games with 3D profiles on its website and is promising more AAA and classic titles each month.
The Predator SpatialLabs View 27 is designed to offer a good 3D viewing experience in low light without perceivable loss of detail. The monitor also features Acer Immersive Audio with front-facing dual 2.5 W speakers that create a virtual spatial audio effect, though this requires games to support 3D Audio and Spatial Audio.
Apart from the View 27, Acer is also launching a Predator SpatialLabs View Pro 27 aimed at professional creators and developers to showcase their work in 3D.
The Acer Predator SpatialLabs View 27 will be available from Q2 2024 at prices starting from €1,999.
