HP has announced that it is "reimagining its consumer displays line-up" in 2024 - as indicated even in their naming scheme. The inaugural displays have been unveiled as Series 5 monitors, as opposed to the alphanumerical salad of previous years.
The OEM touts the new range as improved in various way compared to HP predecessors that went without gaming and/or high-performance credentials. They will, for example, have "enhanced" refresh rates - albeit to 100Hz - and have 1500:1 panels.
Then again, the Series 5 Displays are more likely to look the part, with "ultra-thin bezels" as part of a "thin and light design" that also allows for a built-in cable management system. On that note, HP notes that the new monitors will come with an "added" HDMI port for potentially enhanced multi-device connectivity.
Then again, the OEM has not been as expansive with the details on these monitors compared to other products also starring at CES 2024; for example, the Series 5 Displays' pricing and availability have yet to ben determined.
