AOC Q27E12C debuts as new cheap gaming monitor with 100 Hz refresh rate and USB hub
AOC is on a roll of late with releasing new gaming monitors. To recap, the company has presented the AGON PRO PD49, AG275QZW, AG275QZE and U27N3RB this month alone. Nonetheless, it has now added to that list with the Q27E12C, a more budget option than any of its other new monitors.
Specifically, AOC has priced the Q27E12C at CNY 999 in China, which equates to approximately $139 at current exchange rates. As such, AOC has designed the gaming monitor for the more budget-conscious. Still, the Q27E12C spans 27-inches across and relies on IPS technology like many of its more expensive competitors. Additionally, the monitor operates natively at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with 99% sRGB colour space coverage.
Understandably, AOC has made cost savings in some areas, including restricting the Q27E12C to a 100 Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the monitor delivers 4 ms GtG response times and 300 nits peak brightness, both of which are on the meagre side. While AOC has not commented on global availability yet, it tends to release its monitors outside China. For reference, the Q27E12C features the following ports:
- 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt mode/65 W Power Delivery)
