New LG MyView 32-inch 4K smart monitors arrive with WebOS 23 and USB-C Power Delivery
LG has unveiled two new MyView smart monitors in the Republic of Korea. The latest products have model numbers 32SR70U and 32SR83U and are designed to adapt to various lifestyle aspects, as a TV to watch content or display workout videos or as a monitor in your home office.
The LG MyView IPS monitors have a 32-inch display with a 4K resolution, covering 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. It is worth noting that the panel is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate, and the devices lack features like AMD FreeSync, meaning they are not suited to gaming. The new products have a customized version of webOS 23, allowing you to access the internet and stream content from popular apps like Disney+ or YouTube without connecting a device like a PC. If you want to use the devices as a monitor, you can connect your laptop via a USB-C port, which supports PD fast charging, though this is limited to 45W for the 32SR70U. Other features include Apple AirPlay 2 and Miracast wireless screen-sharing support, Bluetooth connectivity for headphones and LG ThinQ app-based controls.
Compared to the cheaper 32SR70U, the 32SR83U has a slimmer bezel and a stand, allowing you to adjust the screen’s position. The LG MyView smart monitors 32SR70U and 32SR83U will launch in the Republic of Korea on December 27, retailing for 699,000 won (~$537) and 749,000 won (~$576), respectively. Whether or when they could arrive in other markets remains to be seen.
