CES 2024 | HP 960 debuts touted as most versatile wireless keyboard on the market
HP asserts that its new 960 is as "adaptable" as it is ergonomic, with a keypad detached from the rest of the wireless keyboard's split-zone form-factor and generous wrist-rest. The accessory also comes with 20 programmable keys, and has a dongle as well as Bluetooth connectivity.
For those who want to take the separate number-pad idea even further (and also travel with it, as HP suggests) could also consider the 430 Programmable Wireless Keypad, which, as the name suggests, has 9 re-mappable keys to go with its "quiet, comfortable" mechanical nature.
Like the HP 400 Backlit Wired Keyboard, it is also spill-resistant and can be sanitized. The 4000 DPI 690 Rechargeable Wireless Mouse can also be used with a USB-C cable, and is rated "to track on virtually any surface".
Finally, the "scalable power delivery"-enabled Travel Hub G3 yields an HDMI port as well as a single USB-C port and dual type-A ports. All in all, HP touts the new line-up as ideal for on-the-go use. They would be recognized as a potential set out in the wild with a uniform black finish, all made of up to 80% post-consumer recyclates.
Then again, while some 2024 HP accessories are ready to be ordered from HP.com right now, some are not. The 400, 430 and 690 are in stock today (January 8, 2024), at prices of $49.99, $49.99 and $59.99 respectively.
The $69.99 Travel Hub G3, on the other hand, will not ship until January 26 at the earliest, whereas the $119.99 HP 960 Ergonomic Wireless Keyboard's release is provisionally scheduled for May 27, 2024.
