Gravastar asserts that its latest peripherals exude peak gaming "spirit" in terms of their esthetics as well as their specs. The new Mercury M-series mice both feature the brand's new "hollowed-out" design and custom GLOWSYNC RGB, with magnesium alloy for extra "battle-worn elegance" in the M1 Pro's SKUs. The mice also come with up to 4K dongles and 26,000 DPI sensors.

Gravastar's resolution to produce the most eye-catchingly "sci-fi-inspired" accessories out there has resulted in some very interesting-looking products, the best known of which might be those Sirius Pro TWS earbuds that double as a bottle-opener. The brand also does a line of Bluetooth speakers that look like one's own personal battle droid, a reminder of which is also emblazoned on each of the brand's inaugural gaming mice.

The company has clearly seen the passive cooling-friendly honeycomb pattern of other brands and taken it even further with the Mercury M1 Pro and M2. Gravastar founder Yong Huang asserts that the resulting design is "bio-inspired", which is one way to see it and not that either new accessory is a mouse-shaped roll-cage for its GLOWSYNC RGB core.

The lighting system is only fully customizable in the M1 Pro, which also has a full complement of 5 programmable buttons. Both new Mercury-series mice are rated to handle Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and wired connectivity and for 26,000 DPI "precision" thanks to a PAW3395 sensor, however.

Then again, the M2 is touted as the ultra-light option of the series at a mass of just 79g, and is also the only new Gravastar mouse that comes in Stealth Black. The M1 Pro is available in 2 SKUs: Gunmetal Gray and Battle-Worn Silver Mist, the latter of which has a second dongle for a 4,000Hz polling rate in addition to the 1,000Hz spec of the M2 and Gray M1 Pro.

Accordingly, the M1 Pro in Silver Mist is also the most expensive version available to pre-order direct from Gravastar right now at $129.95, compared to $99.95 for the Gunmetal Gray variant and $79.95 for the M2.
