Shargeek 170 transparent portable power bank now crowdfunding at Indiegogo
Sharge (formerly Shargeek) is now crowdfunding for the Shargeek 170 portable power bank on Indiegogo. The gadget was initially raising funds on Kickstarter, raising over $7,000 by the start of December. According to the Indiegogo project page at the time of writing, the campaign currently has over 4,000 backers with around $759,000 raised.
The Sharge Shargeek 170 allows you to charge three devices simultaneously with a total output of 170W. Ports include two two-way PD3.1 140W USB-C ports and a 30W USB-A. When both USB-C ports are used, the power is reduced to 100W and 65W. With all three outputs used, the USB-C ports deliver 65W, and the USB-A's output drops to 18W. A 24,000 mAh "electric-vehicle-grade" battery allows you to charge an iPhone 14 Pro six times or a MacBook Pro or ROG Ally once. The power bank recharges from 0% to 50% in 20 minutes with the maximum 140W input. Other features include a display showing information such as the remaining capacity and output power and a low current mode.
The compact gadget has a transparent prism-shaped case, IP66 water resistant, weighing 680 g (~24 oz) and measuring 6.5-inch (~165 mm) long. The pledge levels for the Shargeek 170 on Indiegogo are identical to those previously seen on Kickstarter, with the cheapest Super Early Bird pledge at $119. The device is expected to ship in February, with the company delivering to many countries, including the US, the UK, Australia, the Netherlands and France. The product has already been shipped to over 1,000 backers from the Kickstarter campaign.
