To describe the accessories market for iPhones as extensive would be a complete understatement. Due to the limited variety of Apple smartphone models, accessories for iPhones appear to be a worthwhile, albeit well-populated market segment. Porsche Design is now offering several new protective cases for the iPhone 15 Pro, which are primarily intended to appeal to customers who are fans of the premium car brand and want to protect their iPhone from damage, at least to a certain extent.
The large number of variants is striking, as the protective cover is available in a total of seven variants that differ in terms of lettering. Customers can choose a Boxster, 718, Taycan, Macan, 911 and Cayman logo or choose not to have one. The Porsche logo is always found just below the cutout for the camera.
According to Porsche Design, the surface of the protective cases is made of 100% cowhide and the dimensions are 150.5 x 75.9 x 11.2 millimeters. A plastic mix consisting primarily of polycarbonate promises high durability, which should prevent acute damage in the event of accidental drops.
There are cutouts for the camera, speakers and microphones, as well as pressure aids for the speaker buttons. Regardless of the chosen variant, the price is $85, and shipping takes place "within three to four working days." As previously mentioned, the range of protective cases on offer is extensive and there are others available at significantly lower prices.
