Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series global 'premier launch' event date set for later this month
Xiaomi is a few hours away from presenting the Redmi Note 13 series in India, the series' second release after its debut over three months ago in China. For context, Xiaomi has focussed on the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus for the Indian market. However, it will present the Redmi Note 13 5G in India too, the cheapest model that Xiaomi sells in China.
Surprisingly, the company is already promoting the series' third launch event, evidence of which we have embedded below. This time, Xiaomi has positioned its 'premier launch' as a global event rather than one that is country-specific. Thus, it should apply across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at the very least. Also, the company's dedicated website refers to the Redmi Note 13 series without a 5G moniker, unlike its equivalent Indian website.
Although a minor detail, several leaks have identified two 4G models. Specifically, renders and specifications for the Redmi Note 13 4G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G emerged online last month, which we have covered separately. In short, the pair differ in various areas from their 5G counterparts, including tweaked designs and different chipsets. The Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G should all make global appearances too though, which late 2023 leaks confirmed as well. Currently, Xiaomi has only revealed that the Redmi Note 13 series will launch globally on January 15, with no timings provided at the time of publication.
