Appuals and RM Update have shared initial details about the Redmi Note 13 4G, a presumed cheaper alternative to the Redmi Note 13 5G. While the latter has only received a Chinese release so far, there is evidence that a global variant is planned with more rear-facing cameras than its Chinese counterpart. According to Appuals, the Redmi Note 13 4G will be available globally at some stage, too.
Specifically, the website alleges that Xiaomi will sell the Redmi Note 13 5G in the following SKUs:
- 6 GB of RAM/128 GB storage - €199
- 8 GB of RAM/256 GB storage - €249
Moreover, the Redmi Note 13 4G is said to measure 162.2 x 75.5 x 7.97 mm and weigh 188.5 g. In other words, Redmi Note 13 4G is slightly larger than its 5G counterpart. The former will match the latter's IP54 dust and water resistance rating though, along with its 120 Hz AMOLED display, plus 108 MP primary (f/1.65, OIS), 2 MP macro and 16 MP front-facing cameras. Appuals adds that the Redmi Note 13 4G will feature an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera too, which may be headed to the global Redmi Note 13 5G as well.
Supposedly, Xiaomi will base the Redmi Note 13 4G on the Snapdragon 685 though, 6 nm SoC that we reviewed earlier this year in the Redmi Note 12 4G. LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.0 flash storage is also said to be presented, as is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging. In other words, it appears that the Redmi Note 13 4G is an amalgam of the Redmi Note 12 4G and Redmi Note 13 5G, albeit with a tweaked design. A release date remains unknown for now, which is also the case for the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G, which we have covered separately.
