Anbernic has revealed full details for its latest retro gaming handheld. Launching later this week, the Anbernic RG35XX H will be available in three colour options and two memory configurations.

Anbernic has now confirmed full details for the RG35XX H, a gaming handheld that it showcased in late 2023. To recap, the RG35XX H arrives less than two months after the RG35XX Plus, upon which it is based. As its name suggests, the RG35XX H has a horizontal layout; until now, the RG35XX series has only been available as a vertical gaming handheld.

In summary, the RG35XX H combines a 3.5-inch IPS display with an Allwinner H700 chipset. Additionally, the gaming handheld features 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, twin microSD card readers and a 3,300 mAh battery that The Phawx has demonstrated lasts about 8 hours when emulating PS1 games. Moreover, Anbernic includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and HDMI connectivity for multiplayer gameplay, wireless controllers and external monitor output.

The RG35XX H will launch on January 5 at 08:00 UTC. Initially, the gaming handheld will be available for $62.99 with a 64 GB microSD card in black, purple and white transparent finishes. Alternatively, Anbernic will include a secondary 128 GB microSD card for $77.99, although all SKUs are slated to eventually rise by $5 after an undefined period. Please see Anbernic's website for more details.
