LG previews new UltraGear OLED gaming monitor with 1440p resolution and 480 Hz refresh rate
LG has confirmed initial details for another CES 2024-bound UltraGear gaming monitor. To recap, the company outlined six other new UltraGear OLED monitors at the tail end of 2023 with differing panel sizes and features. For reference, the other monitors are as follows, links to which we have included for each model:
For some reason, LG has elected against revealing the model name of its latest gaming monitor. Instead, it has confirmed various key specifications and one teaser image. For example, the monitor will rely upon an OLED panel, putting it within LG's UltraGear OLED series. As such, the panel provides 0.03 ms response times and integrates a Micro Lens Array (MLA) to maximise peak brightness and minimise blooming, which forms part of LG's 'META technology'.
Additionally, the unnamed monitor spans 27-inches across, like the forthcoming UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE. Likewise, the former matches the latter's 1440p resolution, which LG refers to as QHD and 2,560 x 1,440. However, while the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE operates at 240 Hz, LG's mystery monitor doubles this refresh rate to 480 Hz. Pricing and availability remain unknown for now, but LG will likely offer more details about its unnamed monitor between January 9 and 12 at this year's CES conference.
