LG UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE shown with 4K/240 Hz and 1080p/480 Hz display options
CES 2024 remains a few weeks away, with the Consumer Technology Association having scheduled its annual conference between January 9 and 12, 2024. Nonetheless, LG has outlined a few details about some of the products it plans to introduce next month, including the UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE. As its name suggests, the UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE relies on an OLED panel that measures 32-inches across.
In a press release, LG has confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE will be its first monitor to support twin display modes, currently referred to as 'Dual-Hz'. Although LG has not detailed this functionality yet, the monitor will feature a button for switching between 4K/240 Hz and 1080p/480 Hz display modes on the fly. Unsurprisingly, the monitor will include DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports, with DisplayPort 2.1 eluding the UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE, for some reason.
Additionally, the monitor will provide 0.03 ms GtG response times and a 1,500,000:1 typical contrast ratio, both of which it will share with the UltraGear OLED 34GS95QE and UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE. Moreover, the UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE will offer 98.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC integration to minimise image tearing. Furthermore, LG states that the monitor is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, which should ensure 400 nits peak luminance, 0.0005-nit black levels and 50x greater dynamic range compared to DisplayHDR 1000 certified monitors. Presumably, LG will provide more details during its CES 2024 showcase.
