LG has announced that its 2024 QNED TV range will also come further augmented with miniLED technology in some variants such as the latest iteration of the QNED90, slated to support a new Million Gray Scale feature, which, as the name suggests, is rated to reproduce gray with potentially ultra-fine shade differentiation (and, thus, potentially enhance contrast) with "20-bit accuracy".
The new TVs are also touted to build on QNED's reputation for "authentic" NanoCell color with the "ultimate" in quality-enhancing LG AI Picture Pro algorithms, rated to recognize different subjects such as faces, objects and scenery so as to enhance their fine details and ensure separation of one from another.
Meanwhile, Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro will also "deliver three-dimensional image quality" by detecting extremes of light and shadow in real-time and then "elevating" them with "precise HDR optimization".
2024 QNED TVs will also support Personalized Picture Wizard, a way of "training" the device to enhance certain cherry-picked details or subjects with deep learning. These features will be powered by the new LG alpha8 processor, touted to exhibit a "1.3-fold increase in AI performance" compared to its predecessor.
The TVs will also come with AI Sound Pro, rated to simulate "virtual 9.1.2 surround sound" from their built-in speakers, and WOW Orchestra to co-ordinate any LG external speakers or soundbars around it into a "mesmerizing 3D sound experience".
LG has announced that 2024's QNED will be available in "43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 86-inch" size variants as well as the "truly massive" 98-inch flagship model. They will be on display alongside their OLED counterparts at LG's CES booth (#16008) in the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 9 to 12, 2024.
