The 2020-editions of LG NanoCell TVs range from 49-inches to 86-inches and come in 4K or 8K flavours. With some editions available to purchase now, LG will start offering 8K models from next month. Varying between US$599 and US$4,999, all models support Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit.
Announced late last year, LG has now started selling its 2020 NanoCell TV range. Starting with the 4K 49NANO85UNA and 86NANO90UNA this month, LG will finish rolling out its new NanoCell TVs by September. The stars of the show, the 8K Nano99 series, will be available to purchase from May.
Spanning from 49-inches to 86-inches, LG claims that its new NanoCell TVs use a layer of 1 nm particles to filter out image impurities and deliver "stunning colour reproduction". All but the Nano81 series of the 4K models also feature the company's α7 Gen 3 Intelligent Processor, which LG claims maximises audio and viewing experiences. By contrast, the Nano99 8K series includes LG's α9 Gen 3 AI Processor 8K. As its name suggests, the AI Processor 8K uses "deep learning technology" to optimise viewing content in 8K.
The NanoCell 2020 series supports HDR 10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, too. Additionally, all models feature Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, along with AirPlay 2 and HomeKit connectivity. The prices and availability for the series are as follows:
