Xiaomi has launched a new addition to a premium line of its TVs. This Mi Full Screen Pro is a 75-inch model with an aluminium mid-frame and a custom 1.9GHz processor from Amlogic. The Patchwall UI device has a 4K resolution, and also supports Dolby Audio, a voice assistant and smart-home control features.
Xiaomi is currently celebrating its Mi Fan Festival, which is in its 10th year in 2020. The OEM is announcing some new products in conjunction with this event. One of these is a new, larger variant of its Pro TV series. The Mi Full Screen TV Pro has a 75-inch display driven by a quad-core, 64-bit processor developed by the OEM in conjunction with Amlogic.
This Full Screen TV has a 4K resolution, but supports native 8K playback thanks to this 12-nanometer (12nm) chipset. It also incorporates Dolby Audio and DTS for its 8-watt (W) speakers, as well as an in-house smart assistant called XiaoAI.
Besides this, the new Mi Full Screen TV Pro runs Xiaomi's usual OS for this device category, Patchwall UI. With its metal backplate and aluminium mid-frame, this model is pitched at the premium end of its market. It will start at 5999 yuan (~US$849) in China on its to-be-determined release.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
